Have you ever experienced intense cravings for sugar or bread? Do you ever feel “out of it”, weak, tired and forgetful? How about itchy skin and recurring sinus, yeast and bladder infections?  If this sounds like you, you might be suffering from an intestinal imbalance which is leaving your immune system helpless against harmful organisms.

The Human Microbiome, otherwise known as the effect that gut flora has on our health, is the cornerstone of our well being. The food we eat can instantaneously and drastically change the composition of different stains of bacteria and organisms naturally occurring in the gut. This not only affects how we feel and how susceptible we are to viruses and bacterial infections, eczema and psoriasis, but even our potential for developing more serious health problems such as diabetes, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia and even certain cancers.

Okay, so you don’t like feeling terrible all the time, but you don’t want to live off of celery sticks? I hear you. What’s life without delicious food? Depressing, that’s what. Good news! You can eat lots of delicious food and get better! Let me help you out by giving you some recipes I’ve developed that are both awesome and optimally healthy.

I’ve adopted the Anti-Candida Diet to get healthy again. I’ll refer you to a website that I found invaluable on my path to getting better- The Candida Diet Plan. Sandra has a great site. She really delves into symptoms, causes and what to eat to heal.  Other great sources are The Candida Diet , Whole ApproachErica White’s Nutrition Help and Ricki Heller.

Living and eating for health and longevity doesn’t mean excluding the joy and pleasure of food from your life.

I’ve been where you are. I suffered, I struggled and then I got a lot better. Healthful eating doesn’t have to mean deprivation. Let’s snack!
