“I’m a creative!” Al Carbee declared in Magical Universe. “I have to create or else, I suffer!” If you haven’t seen this odd, but endearing older gentleman in the documentary about his unusual preoccupation with creating expansive dioramas featuring Barbie dolls, I’d highly recommend.
I think about Al Carbie’s statement a lot because it’s innately true. Sometimes my mind starts flipping through combinations or possibilities as I write, cook, bake, decorate, plan my day or my life, or even as I come up with a new favorite hot cuppa.
At times it’s beyond me. It’s more like watching the pieces fall into place and then I take that energy into the kinetic world to see how it plays out. This was one of those. Spicy ginger green tea latte with sweet, subtle vanilla.
Plus, it’s green – for St. Patty’s Day. Because c’mon, do you really need another healthified Shamrock Shake recipe?
As part of my healing strategy, I was seeing a nutritionist for a while. She was great and really helped me open up my food restrictions and mindset. While we were going over my food journal one day, she came across this version of green tea and it caused an excited pause.
“Matcha green tea latte with ground ginger and vanilla?! I wanna live with you! How do you come up with this stuff with how busy you are?”
Because, I must! I’m driven by that invisible force that forces geese south in the winter and north in the summer. But for me it’s finding new ways to read, see and taste things.
If you haven’t tried green tea matcha yet, you really should try it. It’s loaded with antioxidants and has a satisfying density to it.
It gives you lots of good, clean energy to burn without the nasty crash. I love it with this twist of spicy ginger and creamy almond milk. I drank it every day for months.
Perfect soothing and energizing cup for these last cold throes of winter. Well, for you those of you on the other side of the country. Honestly, it’s been pretty nice here. But even I’m still cozying up with this as spring tiptoes in.
